The two sides hurled rocks at one at one another amid complete absence of security forces. Some 1,500 members of the Muslim Brotherhood had organised a rally at the groups headquarters in Saea Square in support of President Mohamed Morsi's controversial Constitutional Declaration. Anti-Brotherhood protesters reportedly attacked the Brotherhood demonstration with Molotov cocktails and rocks. The Islamist group responded with truncheons. Damanhour is widely regarded to be a Brotherhood stronghold. A number of attacks on Muslim Brotherhood headquarters have taken place across the country since the declaration was announced on Thursday.##
