El Merreikh's Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary committed a fatal mistake to help Congo's Leopards claim a 2-1 home win over his club El Merreikh of Sudan in the first leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final on Sunday.
The game looked as though it was heading for a draw when El-Hadary's dreadful blunder allowed a Leopard player to score the winner seven minutes from time.
He stole the ball from within the grasp of El-Hadary, who was ready to launch the ordinary goalkeeper punt but his reluctance gave his opponent the chance to score a stunning goal.
El Merreikh will host Leopards two weeks later in the second leg in Sudan.
