Chelsea loses top spot after 1-1 draw at Swansea Chelsea lost top spot in the English Premier League for the first time in more than two months after conceding a late equalizer to Pablo Hernandez in a 1-1 draw with Swansea on Saturday
Manchester United ousted Chelsea from the top of the Premier League by beating Arsenal 2-1 coupled with the former leaders being held to a 1-1 draw at Swansea. Robin van Persie was United's inspiration against his former club, punishing poor defending in the third minute with a league-high eighth goal of the campaign before Patrice Evra's header sealed victory at Old Trafford. Chelsea's 10 1/2-week stay at the summit was ended when Pablo Hernandez grabbed an 88th-minute equalizer for Swansea, canceling out Victor Moses' opener. Manchester City can join United in leapfrogging the European champions by beating West Ham away later Saturday. Everton conceded late in a 2-2 draw at Fulham to stay fourth, while fifth-place Tottenham was jeered off after surprisingly losing 1-0 at home to Wigan.
