Cairo's Rawabet Theatre hosts 'Ebb and Flow' Performance by Egypt's Al-Tamye Theatre Group delves into actors' personal experiences and respective relationships with Cairo
The Tamye Theatre Group on Wednesday, 8 August, is putting on a performance of Mad we Gazr ('Ebb and Flow'), a sequel to its 2009 Fantasia Al-Lagna('Checkpoint Fantasy'). The new show, which represents the troupe's eighth work, tells the story of troupe members since the group's establishment nine years ago. The story reflects upon the actors' personal views, delving into their respective relationships with Egyptian society and the city. Performers and writers include: Sedky Sakhr, Shady El-Husseiny, May Salem, Youssra El-Hawary and Salam Yousry. 'Ebb and Flow' is part of a series of artistic performances collectively entitled Combo Mostaqel ('Independent Combo').
