Mido set for England return with Barnsley
English Championship side Barnsley set to offer Ahmed ‘Mido' Hossam one-year contract if he passes medical

Egyptian striker Ahmed ‘Mido' Hossam will undergo medical tests with English Championship side Barnsley FC Thursday.
The 29-year-old former Tottenham and Middleborough forward accepted Barnsley's offer and is expected to sign a one-year contract after passing a medical in South Yorkshire, according to Sky Sports.
The striker was released from his boyhood club Zamalek this summer after clashing with chairman Mamdouh Abbas over his unpaid benefits due to the financial crisis facing Egyptian clubs.
All football activities were suspended on 1 February when scores died and hundreds were injured at the Port Said stadium following clashes between Ahly and Masry fans.
Mido started his career abroad at Gent in 2000 before he played for Ajax, Marseille, Roma, Wigan Athletic and West Ham United.
He played for the Egyptian national team from 2001, scoring 20 goals in 51 appearances.
