Masry goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy has expressed interest to move to Cairo giants Zamalek. “Zamalek is a very big club and I hope I can wear the white jersey even for free,” Egypt keeper said to Egyptian Sports TV Channel Modern Sports on Monday. The 21-year-old talented footballer passed the Spanish Real Betis' medical test last month before being monitored in the team's training sessions for a week, but it was reported that negotiations over the move collapsed. El-Shennawy had previously said that joining Zamalek was his second choice if he was unable to complete a move to Real Betis. Now the Egypt under-23 national team guard says of joining Zamalek,“I haven't talked about the offer's details but I am willing to agree on any offer from them." El-Shennawy, who signed a five-year contract with Masry earlier this season, is one of the hottest talents in Egypt. He was forced to leave Masry after the team was suspended for a year and relegated to the second division, following the Port Said Stadium disaster which left more than 70 football fans killed in February.
