The former prime minister secured a spot in the runoff for Egypt's presidential elections next months earlier on Monday

Unknown individuals set presidential contestant Ahmed Shafiq's campaign headquarters in Dokki, Cairo on fire on Monday evening. Security forces arrested some individuals suspected of starting the blaze.
Fire trucks are currently attempting to bring the fire under control.
Shafiq supporters have gathered around the headquarters building to show support for Shafiq.
