The event will be introduced by the French Ambassador to Egypt Stéphane Romatet, President of the National Council of Women Maya Morsy and sponsor of the event actress Hend Sabry, and followed by a debate between experts on the topic of women's right to health.Mon 8, 7-9pm (online event): To mark the International Women's Rights Day, the French Embassy and the French Institute in Egypt are organising an online event themed “Women and Health”.
The debate introduces Naeema ELGASSER, doctor, representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, Catherine VIDAL, neurobiologist and honorary research director at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, and Hania SHOLKAMY, anthropologist and sociologist,
associate professor at the Center for Social Research of the AUC. The debate, which will be moderated by Dina DARWICH, journalist at Al-Ahram Hebdo, will be followed by questions and answers with the audience.
The event will end with the award of the Equality Prize to an Egyptian association for a project promoting equality between women and men.
The online event will be broadcast on 8 March at 7pm on the Facebook page and Youtube channel of the French Institute in Egypt, in French with Arabic subtitles.
