Senegal's Cisse hungry for more; targets 20 goals next season with Newcastle

Newcastle's Senegalese goal machine Papiss Cisse admits he rejected a number of Premier League clubs preferring the Magpies and his great start shows he made the right choice
Senegal striker Papiss Cisse has revealed that he set a 20-goal target for himself next season with Newcastle, insisting that the club is the right place for him.
"There were other English clubs interested in signing me, but Newcastle offered a unique opportunity," Cisse told The Sun.
"In all senses, I knew it was the right club for me. Next season my aim will be to score at least 20 goals," he added.
The 27-year-old hitman made a great start with Newcatle since his arrival from Freiburg in January, scoring 11 goals in ten appearances. The goals of the Senegalese international helped the North-East club clinch a spot in the top four, opening the fans to the dream of a UEFA Champions League return.
"I knew Newcastle was a great club before I arrived, but now I want the club to achieve the history it deserves.
"After the experience this season, from now on this club should always be fighting for the top positions in the league.
"Next year I hope to be able to show my talent in the Champions League. A dream of mine as a child was to score goals in this famous competition," explained Cisse.
Under the spotlight with compatriot Demba Ba after their recent outstanding performances with Newcastle, Cisse hails the Premier League that gives a golden opportunity for African players to succeed.
"I don't know why African players have been so successful here. Maybe it has something to do with the physical nature of the Premier League.
"I like England as a country. Since I moved here in January I have been exploring and discovering new places and enjoying the countryside.
"People talk about the weather, but that hasn't been a problem. I was playing in Germany before and that is just as cold!
"I had a plan and goals I wanted to achieve when I joined. But in all cases the start I have had at the club has surpassed anything I dreamed of. But I want more.
"The pressure of the Premier League is very big when you first arrive and you know you don't have anywhere to hide," he concluded.
