Egypt's club Arab Contractors have officially agreed to sell their promising forward Mohamed Salahto Swiss heavyweights FC Basel. "We have agreed to sell Salah after a successful meeting with Basel officials late on Monday," Arab contractors board member Mohamed Adel was quoted as saying by Ahram Sport. "The financial details of the deal will be announced within the coming hours," he added. Salah has already successfully undergone the requisitemedical and technical tests with Basel. The 20-year-old is one of Egypt's hottest prospects and Basel are reportedly considering him a natural replacement for Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, who will join German giants Bayern Munich next season. Salah led the U-20 team to the bronze medal at the African Youth Championship last year before helping the U-23 side qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games for the first time since 1992. That impressive performance earned the talented player a place in the Pharaohs' senior squad recently under the helm of American coach Bob Bradley.
