Ahly midfielder Shawky blasts Egypt coach
Former Pharaohs star Mohamed Shawky criticises 'random' moves by national team's American coach Bob Bradley
Published in Ahram Online on 09 - 04 - 2012

Ahly midfielder Mohamed Shawky has attacked the "random" choices made by Egypt coach Bob Bradley, saying that he doesn't "care about joining the national team anymore."
"The Egypt technical staff are not able to evaluate players' levels," the former Middlesbrough and Kayserispor player said on Egyptian television.
The 30-year-old Pharaoh, who won two African Cups of Nations (CAN) in 2006 and 2008 under former coach Hassan Shehata, described the current American manager's choices as "random."
"I don't understand what Bradley is doing. He made me stop caring about joining the national team," added Shawky, who has 66 caps with the Pharaohs.
Bradley on Sunday named Egypt's squad – which excluded Shawky – for a closed camp in the UAE, where they will play three friendly games amid preparations for 2013 CAN qualifiers and the 2014 World Cup.
"If you want to join the national team, just make a phone call," Shawky said, mocking Egypt's technical staff.
The coach, for his part, declined to comment.
