The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) met the national team's technical staff Thursday to discuss the future of football in the country. “The senior national team is about to start the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and it will be a test for the new technical staff,” EFA Chairman Samir Zaher said during the meeting. The seven-time African champions now have American coach Bob Bradley at the helm following the dismissal of Hassan Shehata who won three successive championships but failed to qualify for the fourth. “We work like one man in a professional atmosphere controlled by mutual respect and we are ready for Brazil,” Bradley, who is contracted to the Pharaohs until the 2014 World Cup finals, said. Egypt is set to play a friendly game against Brazil in Doha, Qatar on 14 November. Zaher hailed the harmony among the technical staff, adding that the EFA board are “satisfied over the coaches' close monitoring of the domestic competition.” In another meeting on Thursday, the association showed support for the Olympic team under Hani Ramzi, ahead of their 2012 London games qualifiers.
