Sisi Wants to keep eye on geniuses in Higher Education

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has made a tour of the exhibition of the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research , which kicked off earlier Thursday at the New Administrative Capital, where he stressed the importance of discovering geniuses and gifted and brilliant people in all areas of activity and taking good care of them and nurturing their skills.
El-Sisi emphasized the importance of carrying on with plans to upgrade the national higher education and scientific research systems to change life to the better for the Egyptian people and serve the nation's comprehensive modernization process and help it attain its sustainable development goals.
He also called for introducing an institutional mechanism at universities to support stellar students and build a generation of brilliant inventors and researchers who are capable of serving national progress and fulfilling the people's dreams of a brighter future.
The opening session of the forum, which bears the theme "Higher Education and Scientific Research between the Present and Future", was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the country's top education officials.
Around 2,000 world figures, including senior scientists and experts concerned with university education, scientific research and innovation will be present in the event, which runs from 4 to 6 April.
The forum is aimed at providing an international platform for exchanging views on the future of higher education, scientific research and innovation.
The exhibition is held with the participation of universities and research institutions in Egypt and from across the world, to provide an opportunity for students in the pre-university stage to learn about the available higher education opportunities.
Many Arab countries and foreign ones, including France, Greece, Finland, Portugal, Poland, Italy, the USA, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, China, India, Kazakhstan and Australia are taking part in the event which aims to address a number of important topics, including prioritizing investment in higher education and scientific research, and directing scientific research to serve the goals of sustainable development and economy.
