Preview: Egypt's Masry seek to maintain fine start to Confed Cup group stage

Egypt's Masry will be seeking to maintain their fine start to their African Confederation Cup group-stage campaign when they face Morocco's Renaissance de Berkane away from home on Wednesday.
Hossam Hassan's side opened kicked off Group B with a 2-0 home win over Mozambique's UD Songo and were also close to defeating Sudan's Al Hilal on the road, only to concede a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw in May.
They lie second in the group with four points, two behind leaders Berkane. Hilal are third on a solitary point while Songo are still without any points after two games.
Should Masry defeat Berkane, they will climb to the summit and boost their chances of advancing to the knockout stage.
Coach Hossam Hassan, Egypt's all-time leading scorer, openly said he was interested to take charge of the national team following their embarrassing World Cup campaign, which saw them lose all three games and led to the dismissal of Argentinean boss Hector Cuper.
But he remains focused on the task ahead of him at Masry, the club which vastly improved following his arrival.
They finished third in the Egyptian Premier League last season and were widely acclaimed for punching above their weight, given the lack of any prominent stars in their roster.
