The head of Egypt's Meteorological Authority (EMA) announced on Friday that Cairo is expected to witness an average high of 40 degrees Celcius and a low of 30 C during the first two days of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Egypt's Muslims are celebrating the three-day feast, which concludes a month of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. The statement by EMA highlighted that the heatwave is expected to last until Saturday, the second day of Eid Al-Fitr. High temperatures are expected to ease on Sunday according to EMA.
