Titled We Need To, a dance performance directed by Sudanese choreographer Nagham Salah Othman will be staged at the Jesuit Centre in Alexandria on 20 January. The dance piece is about the many questions that occur to us from birth, and that change with age as our mind never stops working and thinking and asking. It's about the continuous cycle that can start with a question, followed by honesty with oneself, to finding some answers, to peace of mind, which then brings us to more questions. The performance aims to capture these cycles within the mind. The piece is performed by Mohy El-Din Yehia, Dalia Fakhrt, Abdelaziz Mohamed, and Menatallah Salah Othman. Salah's started her career in dance in 2009 after obtaining a degree in political science, starting in a workshop with choreographer Mirette Mechail, and has since taken part in many contemporary dance workshops with different choreographers like Karima Mansour, Tomio Fergas, Jennifer Irons, and Olivier Dubois among others. Salah started giving her own workshops in hip-hop in 2010, and in 2017 Salah was among the artists who participated at the Arab Arts Focus at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
