The director of Jordan's Karama Human Rights Film Festival, Sawsan Darwaza, signed a contract for a special section on human rights films in the next edition of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), she said. Egyptian producer Sherif Mandour, the executive director of the CIFF, confirmed that a section on human rights will be included in the next round, relying on the experience of the Karama Festival. Darwaza also announced that the Karama International Film Festival will be joining the Human Rights Film Network (HRFN) . The Karama Human Rights Film Festival started in 2010 as the first human rights film festival in Jordan.
