Nigeria's Taiwo to remain with Milan AC Milan's Nigerian fullback is expected to complete current season with the Rossoneri despite English interest, agent says
Taye Taiwo's agent revealed on Tuesday that the Nigerian fullback would remain with AC Milan for the rest of the season, denying a possible move for the player in January. “I don't think he'll leave Milan,” agent Mickael Coker was quoted as saying by Football-Italia. “Taye will fight until the very end to win the trust of coach Massimiliano Allegri and the club directors,” he added. Former Marseille defender Taiwo joined AC Milan last summer in a free transfer but failed to establish himself with the Rossoneri, playing a total of only 141 minutes in ten games. The 26-year-old defender was reportedly linked to several English Premier League clubs that had expressed an interest in acquiring his services. Several reports suggested the possibility of his return to the French League, but Coker says a move to the Premier League is more likely. “I don't think he wants to return to France, but there are a number of English clubs interested in him,” the agent said.
