Ghana coach Avram Grant named on Monday a 26-man squad for the 2017 African Nations Cup. According to the Ghanaian football association's official website, skipper Asamoah Gyan will lead the Black Stars team who will begin an 11-day training camp in the United Arab Emirates before travelling to Gabon on January 13 for the prestigious tournament. The squad also includes other famous names like deputy captain Andre Ayew, Newcastle's Christian Atsu, Bernard Tekpetey, Raphael Dwamena and Thomas Partey. AIK Stockholm midfielder Ebenezer Ofori and Başakşehir's Joseph Attamah Larweh were also available and could make their first ever appearance with Ghana in Gabon. Ghana will be competing in Group D alongside Mali, Uganda and seven time champions Egypt.
