Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has said that the team's upcoming three Egyptian league matches would be “very tough.” "Ahly respects all teams in the competition. The first round of the league is ending with a very tough three matches and our target is winning as many points as possible," El-Badry told his club's official website on Saturday. The title-holders will clash with ENPPI on Monday, six days before meeting rivals Masry, and then will end the first round with a Cairo-derby against classic rivals Zamalek on 29 December. "ENPPI is a strong and organised team. They have very good players and coaches but we are determined to win the three points," El-Badry added. The record holders of 38 trophies, Ahly are currently on top of the table with 38 points, 10 ahead of second-placed Maqassa who played two games less. The 56-year-old tactician also commented on the absence of center-back Ahmed Hegazy due to his hamstring injury. "I hope his absence won't be long because he is a key player," he added.
