Amid speculations surrounding the future of Cameroon coach Javier Clemente, Captain Samuel Eto'o hailed the Spaniard's work with the Indomitable Lions. “We are going through a reconstruction process. It cost us participation in the African Cup of Nations but we are now back on the right track,” the 30-year old striker told radio station Magic FM. “We had a lot of problems in the team and anarchy between the players but it's over now. We have a young, skillful and dedicated team that is only focused on football and is ready to achieve glory for the next 10 years. “We couldn't have been there if we hadn't an experienced coach such as Javier Clemente and the help of our elder brothers, Jacques Songo'o and Francois Omam Biyik, in the technical staff,” he added. The Cameroon soccer Federation has announced that it has begun searching for a new coach to replace Clemente, who failed to fulfill his task of qualifying Cameroon for next year's Nations Cup finals. The four-time African champions wrapped up the qualifiers in convincing fashion, however, after claiming a 3-2 victory at DR Congo but they were outclassed by group leaders Senegal who are deemed one of the favorites to lift the Nations Cup trophy next year in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. “We are like a family again after Satan got through us. I am proud of being the leader of this new generation and hope I would help them reach the glory days,” Eto'o concluded.
