DR Congo side TP Mazembe kicked off the defence of their Champions League title with a 2-2 away draw against Saint George of Ethiopia in the first-leg of the competition's round of 32 on Sunday. Mazembe gained a first-leg advantage before taking on the Ethiopians in the second-leg in Lubumbashi next weekend. Striker Behailu Assefa opened the scoring in the 11th minute but Mazembe's Ghanaian duo Daniel Adje and Solomon Asante netted two goals on 45 and 46 minutes to make it 2-1. Saint George midfielder Adane Girma scored the equaliser on the hour mark to keep his side's hopes alive. Earlier in the day, Algerian giants ES Setifsecured a 1-1 away draw against Congolese side Etoile du Gongo.
