Akmal Egypt bookstore in Alexandria will play host to the 'Short Story Forum', which will last for two days starting from Sunday 24 July at 4:00 pm. The forum's day one first session, titled 'Mohammed Hafez Rajab out of writing' , will be moderated by the poet Ashraf Youssef in the presence of the great writer Mohamed Hafez Rajab. The second session, titled 'Short Story Worldwide', will be moderated byMarwa Medhat, with the columnist Ahmed Abdel-Latif and the writer Tariq Imam present. In the third session, titled 'Testimonies', the writers Ahmed Abu Khinger and Mustafa Nasr will discuss the short story. The fourth session, titled 'Readings' will include readings of short stories by Omayma Abdel-Shafi, Shaimaa Hamed, Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Iman Mohammed Abdul Rahim and Gilan Al-Shamsy, with the novelist Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar moderating the session. The session titled 'Writing Workshops' will be held on the second day, about the idea of teaching and learning techniques of creative writing, with the participation of Mohamed Abdul Nabi, Shaimaa Hamed and Sameh Bassiouni. Each of them will speak about their experience with writing workshops, with Iman Abdul-Hamid moderating the session. Day two's second session, titled 'Alexandrian short story', will be moderated by Omayma Abdel Shafi about Alexandrian novels. The third session is titled 'Two papers and a testimony'; The first paper will be 'Tales, Fairy Tale', and the second paper will be 'Overview of the Short Story', with the testimony by the storyteller Maher Sheriff about his creative experience with the short story. The fourth session will be titled 'Readings', with Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar moderating the session.
