Sudan's El-Merreikh football committee presidentAbdallah Hassan Eissa has vented his anger about the Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary's recent announcemnt of departure.
“I didn't expect these declarations from an experienced player like El-Hadary, who apparently hasn't learned from the recent revolution that changed a lot of principles and behaviours in his country,” Eissa was quoted as saying by Sudanese newspaper Al Sada on Tuesday.
The Pharaohs goalkeeper recently announced that he will leave El-Merreikh this summer, revealing that English second-division team, Leicester City, and several other clubs are eyeing his services.
“He didn't respect us with his arrogant and worthless declarations," said Eissa.
“El-Hadary is only lodging a media campaign to put pressure in the club but he must know that we have the upper hand in determining his future not him,” Eisaa concluded.
The 38-year-old guard signed a three-year contract with Al-Merreikh last January after ending a brief and unsuccessful spell with Cairo giants Zamalek.
