Egyptian Premier League champions Ahly have not given up hope of signing Broussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan even though he prefers to stay in the Bundesliga. “Ahly's doors are open for Mohamed Zidan if he wants because he will add great value to the team,” said Ahly's marketing manager, Adly El-Qayie. The 29-year-old Pharaohs forward recently announced that he is considering a move from the Germans for whom he warmed the bench much of last season. The striker was also linked with Gulf clubs. “I received offers from Saudi side Al Hilal and an Emirates team,” Zidan was quoted as saying on his official website before Al-Hilal denied the claims. “I will think about these offers to choose one of them as I am searching for a regular place in a big team.” Zidan added. The former Werder Bremen, Mainz and Hamburger hitman joined Dortmund in 2008 on a four-year contract which still has one year to run.
