South Africa search for new blood ahead of Egypt clash
With their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in mind, South Africa face Tanzania in a friendly game next Saturday

South Africa's technical staff aim to use Saturday's friendly against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam to unearth new players for their upcoming 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier with Egypt.
The Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane sees the away friendly as a good preparation for his squad ahead of their match against the African champions in Cairo in the first week of June.
“This is the perfect match to give us the momentum before facing Egypt away. We would have loved to face North African opposition but since this is not a FIFA date it has proved difficult, so we are happy with what we have," Mosimane was quoted as saying on sports website Iafrica on Tuesday.
“Playing away will help us a lot and give us the same stress and pressure of playing in Cairo because we know that the National Stadium of Tanzania will be full with spectators. So this is a good exercise,” he added.
The majority of Mosimane's squad for Tanzania are junior players as he hopes to identify new talent before the Pharaohs game.
“It's good they will have those players, this will give most of our young players invaluable experience. We have called up players who are doing well with their clubs and the message is to give hope and encourage players in the PSL that they can play for Bafana Bafana anytime,” the coach explained.
South Africa, the group leaders with seven points, are hoping to beat the Egyptians to enhance their opportunities to reach the finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. Egypt must win the game to keep alive their slim hopes as they are currently lie bottom of the group with only a single point from their first three games.
