Cristiano Ronaldo's haircut stirs debate Reports say Ronaldo had a 'zigzag' haircut to match the scars of a ten-month-old fan who had brain surgery, some fans say he just thinks he is Zorro
Real Madrid and Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared with a unique haircut during the World Cup in Brazil. While he was gaining boos and woos for his new look, reports suggested the zigzag-line in his haircut had been designed to match the scar of a young fan, Erik Ortiz Cruz, who had a brain operation this week. ## The 29-year-old Fifa Ballon d'Or winner, according to Spanish daily sports newspaper AS, paid the full $83,000 cost of brain surgery needed by a 10-month-old boy. Erik Ortiz Cruz, a Real supporter, required a procedure to remove part of his brain, before a series of treatments that cost thousands of dollars each. Ronaldo, one of the world's richest footballers, agreed to pay for the treatment, The Independent reported. The story is not confirmed but thousands of fans across the globe have circulated it with respectful comments while another bloc thinks it is just a myth. Ronaldo did not score in Portugal's 4-0 defeat by Germany on Monday or Sunday's 2-2 draw with the United States. They play Ghana on Thursday. ## Ahram Online collect some comments about Ronaldo's haircut: @WhyCeeOneSeven And all the commentators were slagging Ronaldo's hair off yesterday, what a hero @WenaEfronI didn't know Ronaldo matches his hair with the scar before this. And I think it's cool the first time I saw it just now. @Anthzny if that reason for Ronaldo cutting his hair the way he did for last nights game is true then respect, what a legend! @_Rafaela93 Make fun of Ronaldo's hair now lol @21ArsenalFC Ronaldo's gay hair cut has nothing to do with a child's brain surgery scarfs. It's nonsense. @Bpmradioaus This is hilarious!! We were wondering where Ronaldo got his hair cut, this explains it ## (For more sports newsandupdates, followAhramOnlineSportson Twitter at@AO_Sportsand onFacebook atAhramOnlineSports.) http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/104543.aspx
