CAIRO: Chief Executive of the Federation of Egyptian Investors Union today sent a memo to Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri requesting the reopening of all factories in the country. “The Federation asked all of its affiliated associations to count the number of factories that have suspended work,” Hilali said. “There are 1,500 non-functional factories currently in Egypt.” “El-Ganzouri must develop unconventional solutions to solve the problems of financially troubled companies,” Hilali said. “This will require injecting capital into such companies.”
