CAIRO: No one has the authority to break up a peaceful sit-in, according to protesters gathered outside Egypt's Council of Ministries in downtown Cairo. Reacting to comments made by Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri stating he could break up the sit-in within 15 minutes, protesters said Ganzouri does not yet have the authority enabling to do work individually. The protestors said no one can break up their peaceful sit-in. One protestor said Ganzouri could break up the sit-in within five minutes but only by shooting people, in the fashion of November's violent Mohamed Mahmoud clashes, or by sending thugs. Protestor Mohamed al-Razaz asked how Ganzouri is able to break up the sit-in without interference by security forces, while another protestor said if Ganzouri wants to enter the Council of Ministries headquarters, they won't prevent him but they refuse to negotiate with him until he executes their requests.
