GIZA, Egypt: Omraniya youth coalition organized a popular conference yesterday to hold a debate between eight parliamentary candidates in Giza's second electoral district, which includes Omraniya. The debate was attended by many neighborhood residents. The eight candidates presented their electoral programs and the projects they will do if they are elected to parliament, and discussed these programs with residents. The youth coalition told the candidates that Egypt's January 25 Revolution was a peaceful revolution for the Egyptian nation and was not sectarian. They asked the candidates to be aware that if one of them won a seat in the parliament he must understand that he represents the whole district and not a certain group. The ‘More Development and Freedom' institution distributed ‘The Electoral Guidance Book' to residents for free, so they can estimate an electoral program and to avoid things that may nullify their votes in the polling stations. The head of the Arab Center of Strategic Studies, Judte Mokhtar Ghoubashi, said the member in the next parliament must be aware of the fact that he is in the most significant parliament in the history of Egypt.
