CAIRO: Mohamed Hassan, the Islamic preacher, announced that he did not permit any candidate to use his picture or name on electoral materials in the parliamentary elections. He described those who did as deviants from Islam and as Machiavellian. Hassan said in an interview on the channel “al-Rahma” that he hopes that all Islamists will not deviate from Islam. Hassan added that they should not deviate from Islam as a means when looking towards Islam as an end. Hassan called on all candidates to respect the electoral rules, whether Islamist or not. He added that they want to join the Shura Council of Scientists.
