SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt: Recent riots in Egypt's Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh are not evidence of terrorism but an illegal expression by some professionals, according to South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda. The tourist hotspot has recently seen road closures and gunfire during protests. Fouda's comments came during a tour of the commercial market with Gamal Mahdi, head of Sharm el-Sheikh. Fouda decided to execute strategies to develop the commercial market of Sharm el-Sheikh in order to appear civilized in front of tourists.
