CAIRO: Egypt needs a new national salvation government, said Saad al-Husseini, a member of the executive bureau of al-Horreya al-Adala Party, an Islamic movement formed after the January 25 Revolution. “I expect that the following government will include a coalition of all political forces,” al-Husseini continued. “We don't care about the suggested names, but it's important that the persons selected be efficient.” Al-Husseini recently gave an interview on the Al-Qahera Al-Youm talk show, in which he clarified that a national government must be installed to take the country out of its current crisis. “If the coalition represents all Egyptians, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) must be subject to it,” al-Husseini added. Meanwhile, Abdel Momeim al-Shahat, a leader in the Salafi movement and al-Nour Party today rejected the appointment of Kamal el-Ganzouri to the prime minister post, but criticized those protestors who prevented the new minister from entering the Cabinet headquarters. “If Tahrir is the ruler, they must prove it,” he added.
