The campaign supporting Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, head of the armed forces, for the presidency and Egypt Above All coalition said had it not been for the military council's appeal for Abbasia demonstrations to be postponed, numbers would have reached five million. The campaign called on the military council to give those who participated in the protests a voice in future decision making. The campaign said in a statement on Saturday they participated in yesterday's demonstration out of belief that the council has the ability to manage the country's affairs during the coming period, for Egypt's higher interests. The statement also explained that all participants in the demonstration agreed among themselves to start launching pages on social networks to boycott the satellite stations and media that undermine the security of Egypt. The statement also demanded that those involved in the Tahrir Square events be held accountable for their actions.
