The Assistant of Foreign Minister for Egyptian expatriates announced the extension of mail voting in the upcoming parliamentary elections for Egyptian expatriates until midnight Monday. Ambassador Ahmed Ragheb said the ministry coordinated with the Supreme Electoral Committee to extend the voting period for Egyptian expatriates. The first phase of the elections is Monday and Tuesday. The Supreme Electoral Committee originally extended the end of voting to Midnight Sunday from 9:00 am on Saturday, but the extension did not meet the demands of Egyptian communities abroad, leading to another extension to midnight Monday. He said many Egyptian expatriates are attempting to vote. One hundred thousand Egyptians have voted so far, and the numbers are set to increase, according to Ragheb.
