CAIRO: The Nasserist National Conference Party assured the Egyptian revolution is still ongoing, although not yet the end of the former regime. The party assured the state's institutions, including the ruling military council, in achieving the people's demands. The party added in a statement on Wednesday November 24 that the transfer to a democratic state, called by the people, will not be achieved amid the Emergency Law and military trials of civilians. The party ensured the revolution's youth insist on recovering their revolution amid public rage, refusing the parties' struggle of taking over power. The statement pointed out that continuing the elections amid this situation will lead to many risks. The statement mentioned the best solution suggested by the party during this phase is to determine a schedule to deliver power by forming a government of national salvation. This should be followed by putting forth a new constitution, cleansing the state's institutions, stopping military trials for civilians and then hold the parliamentary and presidential elections. The statement stressed it is important for the military council to protect Egyptians, to prove the Egyptian army is always the people's army.
