Links: al-Nour Party, Tahrir Square, CAIRO: The High Committee of the al-Nour Party today announced that it will participate in the million-man demonstration condemning the excessive use of force against demonstrators in Tahrir Square. The demonstration is scheduled for today at 4:00 p.m. “The Party will participate in the demonstration to raise the demands of the people,” said Party Chairman Emad Abdel-Ghafour. Ghafour also demanded that authorities halt the violence against peaceful demonstrators in Tahrir, form a neutral committee to open investigations into the clashes and punish those responsible for killing peaceful protestors. He stressed the need for conducting parliamentary elections on time and fixing a date at which authority will be transferred to a civilian body.
