AIRO: The Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces (SCAF) wants to turn the January 25 Revolution into a military coup by activating the emergency powers law, reported likely Egyptian presidential candidate and Chairman of the al-Ghad Party Ayman Nour. Nour claims to have participated in today's Reclaiming the Revolution Tahrir demonstration to support the majority of the Egyptian people. He also condemned the new parliamentary election law. Nour however rejected the call for a sit-in at Tahrir Square, urging demonstrators to give the SCAF a certain period of time to meet revolutionary demands. “The individual system is considered a quota for former regime figures,” Nour said, in reference to the decision to allocate two-thirds of the seats in the People's Assembly to the party-list proportional system.
