DAKAHLIA, Egypt: Hundreds of protestors in Mansura today gathered and protested in from the Security Directorate. The protestors chanted slogans against the police system. The protestors also attempted to halt the flow of traffic and a security cordon was dispatched to encircle the demonstrators. The protestors were demonstrating in solidarity with those engaged in clashes in Cairo's Tahrir Sqaure. The Mansura demonstrators called for a transfer of power to a civilian authority, speedy elections and the cancellation of the constitutional principles document drafted by Deputy Egyptian Prime Minister Ali el-Selmy.
