CAIRO: More than a hundred protestors in Tahrir Square clashed with security forces Saturday morning, after police officers attempted to destroy a tent belonging to the Independents for Egypt movement. Police attempted to forcibly destroy the tent after protestors refused security officers' request to dismantle the tent. Protestors answered by throwing rocks at security forces, injuring one. Protestors fled to Talaat Harb Street, where they chanted slogans against security and police forces. Clashes restarted after security forces cordoned off the street. Police pursued protestors fleeing to side streets.
