Chairman of Al-Wafd Party Sayed al-Badawy offered a proposal to resolve the current controversy about article no. 9 of the constitutional document drafted by Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister Ali al-Selmy. He said the People's Assembly can form a committee to discuss the budget of Egypt's military institution secretly. He said the committee should be composed of heads of Budget Committee and the Defense and National Security Committee. Al-Badawy revealed his party will not sign any document providing only the military council with the authority to discuss the budget of Egypt's military institution. He added the document should be binding to the parties that will sign it, but not binding to the future generations. He expressed his confidence the meetings between the government and different political powers will resume to achieve accordance and to end current controversy.
