CAIRO: Egyptian Gama'a al-Islamiyya (GA) denounced the "unjustified" treatment of political prisoners who are deprived of their personal needs in el-Aqrab prison. This matter is a reminder of how Egyptian prisons were in 1990. The post-revolution government should release all political prisoners as they were detained in over-fabricated cases by the former regime, The GA added. In a statement, the Gama'a al-Islamiyya said it will never give up on its "sons" and will use all means possible to have them released. It also described this as unjustified action causing unrest in the political scene before upcoming parliamentary elections. After the government failed to control thugs, it tried to show its power over prisoners completely disregarding their human rights.
