KAFR AL-SHEIKH, Egypt: Likely Egyptian presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabbahi today said that he will not run for the upcoming parliamentary elections because he will be running for the presidency. “I support the Democratic Coalition containing 13 parties for the upcoming parliamentary elections,” Sabbahi told Youm7. “Al-Karama Party leader Nasr al-Dousy will run on the Freedom and Justice Party list in my place,” he added. “I also support Freedom and Justice Party candidate Mohamed Amir,” he continued. Amir is one of the leaders in the Muslim Brotherhood and a cousin and brother-in-law of Sabbahi's. Sabbahi was scheduled to be included in the Freedom and Justice Party's electoral list for the parliamentary elections in Kafr al-Sheikh.
