Canadian Parliament will host a conference for Coptic Christians on November 15, including Coptic Christian organizations worldwide and Free One World Organization, to discuss the recent Maspiro clashes between the Coptic Christian demonstrations and the Armed Forces. Coptic activist Sherif Mansour said they held a conference in a Canadian Parliament hall on Thursday November 3, where the attendees discussed the position of Christians in both Egypt and Iraq. He said the conference was attended by a number of Canadian officials, Iraqi Ambassador in Canada Abdel Rahman Hamed Hussieny and a number of members of the Iraqi community in Canada. During the conference, they presented a documentary film about the situation of Christians in Iraq and the event at the church of Our Lady of Salvation there, which left 58 dead. The conference raised the necessity of stopping violations committed against Christians in the Middle East. The attendants believe religious discrimination against Christians is the main reason for the increasing immigration to countries.
