The Director of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) in Cairo, Mohamed al-Beltagy, criticized Ali al-Selmy's document on drafting constitutional principles during a seminar held by Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students at Cairo University Tuesday. Beltagy said he viewed the document as an attempt to cancel the next parliamentary elections, which will start real change in Egypt. He also criticized the recent deal conducted between Egypt and Israel to swap the Ilan Grapel, an Israeli-American accused of spying for Israel, with 25 Egyptian prisoners in Israeli prisons. He said that the Egyptians who have been released from the Israeli prisons are accused of committing crimes, adding that they were not fighters or resisters against the Israeli entity. He said that Egypt is still ruled by the same policies adopted by the former regime despite overthrowing its figures during the January 25 Revolution. He said that the revolution has not changed the rules adopted by the Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad. He warned the Egyptian youth that there are internal and external powers that work to undermine their revolution and impede its objectives.
