JERUSALEM: Egypt and Israel are planning another prisoner swap. Israeli spy Ouda Tarabin, who was detained 11 years ago for spying for Israel in Egypt, will be released in exchange for 60 Egyptian prisoners, according to Tarabin's lawyer, Yitzhak Mmeltssa. The exchange will be made in the next few days, the lawyer added. Tarabin is an Israeli Bedouin from the Negev. His father was recruited by Israel after the 1967 War to spy on Egyptian resistance cells during the War of Attrition. In January 1990, the father and his family fled to Israel and received Israeli citizenship. Tarabin was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Egypt arrested Tarabin in 1999 when he infiltrated into Egypt trying to recruit his brother-in-law.
