CAIRO: Head of the Resources Committee in the April 6 Youth Movement Sherif al-Rouby today returned to Cairo after a four-day disappearance. “Al-Rouby was dropped off unconscious in the area between Makram Ebeid Street and Abbas el-Akkad Street in Nasr City,” Ahmed Rifaat, al-Rouby's colleague told Youm7. “When he woke he charged his mobile phone and called his friends and at 1:30 p.m. he returned to the Movement's headquarters in Cairo,” his colleagues added. Al-Rouby said that he was blindfolded for three days, interrogated about the supplying of sources at the April 6 Youth Movement and accused of being financed by foreigners. He was also interrogated about political activist Asmaa Mahfouz regarding her recent trip to the United States. A group of April 6 members recently staged a protest outside the supreme judiciary building to demand that al-Rouby be found. The protestors also filed an official complaint. The Youth also threatened to stage an open-ended sit-in outside the judiciary building after discovering that a female member of the movement gave security information about al-Rouby.
