CAIRO: Al-Karama Party leader Ameen Alexander said the party will not run for upcoming parliamentary elections on the list of the Democratic Coalition. He added the party will announce its list in the upcoming hours. Alexander said the Muslim Brotherhood's (MB) desire to dominate the lists of the Democratic Coalition is a main reason why his party decided to withdraw from the Democratic Coalition, like the other parties that recently withdrew. He added the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the MB, forget other parties have a history of personalities that can't be ignored during the arrangements of the parliamentary elections in Egypt. He stressed Al-Karama Party was keen to negotiate with the coalition. The Freedom and Justice Party insist on dominating the electoral list regardless of the rights of other parties, which prompted them to take the decision. Alexander said Al-Karama Party will call upon different political parties, including the Freedom and Justice Party, to establish a strong political entity aiming to build a democratic state.
