Stock indexes rise in mid-day trading

Stock indexes continued to rise through mid-day trading Wednesday, driven by leading stocks in the market.
The main stock index, the EGX 30 rose by 1.3 percent while the EGX 20 rose by 1.2 percent. The index of medium and small companies, the EGX 70, rose by 2.8 percent, and the EGX 100 rose by 2.1 percent.
A large number of the shares of the major index were up Wednesday, including the shares of the SODEC by 1.6 percent, Commercial Bank by 1.6 percent, OCI by 1.3 percent, Masreya Resorts by 3.03 percent, EFG Hermes by 1.5 percent, Ezz Steel by 2.3 percent, and Talaat Mustafa by 2.7 percent.
