Head of Fine Arts in the Egyptian Ministry of Culture Salah el-Meligy in cooperation with Czech ambassador to Cairo Pavel Kafka will open an exhibition at the Gezira Art Centre. The exhibition will run from October 19 to November 3. The exhibition will showcase the work of four Czech artists, Zdenek Vacek, Marek Trizulijak, Jiri Rysavy and David Dvorsky Ekhnaton as wel as Egyptian artists Ahmed Sabr, Ragheb Ayyad, Heba Fares and Hussein Fawzi. Artist Najwa Mehdi will also present her new jewelry collection. The Centre will provide a range of cultural and artistic activities to accompany the exhibition, said Director Inas Hosny, including a cultural dialogue with Czech artists on Saturday October 22. Two Czech films will be screened on October 25 and 29. The event will promote dialogue amongst artists from around the world, said Director of Public Relations and Media Arafat Ahmed. In addition, there will be a concert featuring Czech band Urban Trio Jakub in the garden of the Centre on Wednesday, October 26.
